Tomatoes are here

The Armstrong garden is finally producing red tomatoes. Not enough for salsa yet but we should have plenty in a few weeks. The peppers are coming in fast with the hot weather here in the city of Mo. We also enjoyed our first ear of corn last night, picked a little early but still delicious.

A picture of our first eggplant. I've never grown eggplant but picked up this heirloom variety, Rosa Bianca, at the local plant sale.

We spent a few fun hours at the zoo last Saturday.

Know you've been anxiously awaiting the ripening of all your vegetables. Garden looks great. We cheat by shopping at Conrad's in Bixby. Bought tomatoes (red & green, as I love fried green tomatoes), squash, corn, and. blueberries. Put some corn and blueberries in the freezer. Drove to Porter for peaches and put 24 pints in freezer. YUM!!!
